Sodium Polyglutamate (PGA) was first found in the high viscosity wiredrawing contained in natto foods. It is a amino acid anion polymer produced by microbial fermentation, if s water-soluble, biodegradable and of high safety. PGA molecule contains a large number of hydrogen bonds and has strong water holding capacity. It is often used as a moisturizing ingredient in cosmetics.
